Tai Chi Classes


Tai Chi - Level 1

Tuesday & Thursday 8AM to 9AM


Over a 12-week course, you will learn the first set of movements as you improve your ability and understanding of the principles of Yang Style Tai Chi. The first set is a complete introduction to the practice of Tai Chi. Class begins with a series of warm-up exercises and light stretching.

Clothing should be comfortable, and loose-fitting. Shoes should feel light, comfortable and have a thin flat sole.

Tai Chi - Levels 2 & 3

Monday & Wednesday 8AM to 9AM


The class is devoted to improvement of the basic stances and fundamentals, and increasing breath control and focused concentration as you learn the rest of the entire 108 part form. This class is open to students who have studied most or all of the first set.

This combination of physical and mental activity works to harmonize the body,mind and spirit to promote a feeling of well being.

Qigong - Life/Energy Cultivation


Friday 8AM to 9AM

October and November Only


This weekly class will be devoted to learning three classic Qigong sets, along with a standing meditation. Emphasis will be on body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation. All are part of the healing practice of chi (qi) circulation. Drop in for one class or commit to a whole month. The class is offered in October and November only.

The class will include the following Qigong sets:

  • The Eight Pieces of Brocade
  • Five Animal Frolics
  • Six Healing Sounds   

Like Tai Chi, Qigong can be practiced by anyone, regardless of age or physical fitness.
